The characterization of turbulent heat and moisture transport during a gust-front event over the Indian peninsula

The ramifications of gust-front on atmospheric surface layer turbulence is a vexing issue, with nearly no information available over the Indian region where such events are not uncommon. Over peninsula, our recent field-experimental study has shown that cold pool associated creates two distinct regimes in ASL turbulence, temperature fluctuations display contrasting behavior. In this work, we use multi-level observational dataset to evaluate corresponding impacts moisture and turbulent heat transport. We discover topology structures, which govern fluctuations, clearly exhibit regime-wise distinction. first regime, structures inclined vertical, while demonstrating self-similarity their time scales by being related through power-law distribution. inclination angle inferred from vertical shifts peak positions cross-correlation coefficients. However, second disappears for hardly any change observed moisture. Moreover, exponents remain sensitive regimes, although effect visible character scales. Additionally, dissimilarity transport investigated novel polar-quadrant based approach separates phases amplitudes flux-transporting motions.
